Scope

This standard specifies the types and sizes of magnetic powder clutches (hereinafter referred to as clutches), technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules.
This standard applies to self-cooled, air-cooled, liquid-cooled, and electric fan-cooled clutches used in mechanical drive systems for clutching between the driving and driven ends, as well as in control systems for adjusting torque, regulating speed, controlling tension, starting under no-load conditions, providing overload protection, servo driving, performing test loading, and changing directions.
