Scope

This standard specifies the cold condensation/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for determining total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in indoor air, ambient air, unorganized gas emissions from factory boundaries, and waste gas from fixed pollution sources (fixed pollution sources with temperatures below 150°C). This standard is applicable to the determination of 61 volatile organic compounds in indoor air, ambient air, and waste gas from fixed pollution sources (fixed pollution sources with temperatures below 150°C), as well as the calculation of the total amount of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC). Other volatile organic compounds can also be measured using this standard if they have been validated by the method.
