GB/T 26108-2010 Trivalent chromium electroplating specification
GB/T 26108-2010 Trivalent chromium electroplating specification
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for trivalent chromium electroplating solutions and the technical requirements for trivalent chromium plating. It also stipulates the detection methods for trivalent chromium in trivalent chromium electroplating solutions and the verification methods for hexavalent chromium.
This standard applies to decorative and protective copper+nickel+chromium and nickel+chromium electroplating layers using trivalent chromium electroplating chromium composite plating.
Note: From an environmental perspective, hexavalent chromium is a highly polluting form that poses significant risks to the environment. It is very difficult for humans or animals to metabolize hexavalent chromium once absorbed. The impact of trivalent chromium is much smaller, with less process sludge. Replacing hexavalent chromium electroplating with trivalent chromium can reduce environmental harm.
