Scope
Scope: This document specifies the site environment, cultivation techniques, disease and pest prevention and control, harvesting, and production records for the cultivation of Jiu Xin Cai (Cardamine hirsuta). This document is applicable to the cultivation of Jiu Xin Cai in Yunnan Province. Main Technical Content: 1. Site Environment 1.1 Suitable Regions The plant is suitable for cultivation in areas with an altitude of 1800 m to 3300 m in Yunnan Province. 1.2 Site Selection Select a site with convenient irrigation and drainage, deep soil layers, high organic matter content, and strong water and fertilizer retention capacity, such as sandy loam soil. The site environment should meet the requirements of NY/T 391. 2. Cultivation Techniques 2.1 Seedling Production 2.1.1 Seedling Substrate The substrate is a mixture of peat and vermiculite in a ratio of 2:1 (by volume), or a mixture of peat, vermiculite, and perlite in a ratio of 1:1:1 (by volume). When preparing the substrate, 0.7 kg to 1.2 kg of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium triple compound fertilizer (15:15:15) can be added per cubic meter of substrate. 2.1.2 Seeding and Cultivation Seeding should be carried out in early March. Select seeds with full grains and no obvious pests or diseases. Use tray seedling cultivation with dimensions of 54 cm in length, 28 cm in width, and 9 cm in height. Each tray contains 50 holes, and 1 to 2 seeds are planted in each hole. 2.1.3 Cutting and Cultivation Select healthy mature branches, cut them at the stem nodes, and remove the lower 2 to 3 leaves. Store the cuttings for 1 to 7 days until the wounds heal, then plant them in holes, with each hole containing 1 plant and a planting depth of 5 cm. Cutting and cultivation should be carried out from March to May. 2.1.4 Seedling Management During the seedling stage, spray 1 to 2 times of 100 million CFU/g Bacillus subtilis microcapsules suspension at a dilution of 500 times and 100 million CFU/g Trichod
