Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, and marking for tussah silk fabrics. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the quality of various types of tussah silk fabrics, including bleached, dyed, printed, and yarn-dyed fabrics, as well as fabrics made from tussah silk as the main raw material mixed with other yarns. This standard is not applicable to the evaluation of the quality of tussah silk fabrics made from tussah silk processed by special techniques.
