Scope

This standard provides information on the evaluation factors related to the recycling and/or reuse of typical insulating materials and polymers in electrical equipment. This evaluation information helps developers and design engineers select polymer materials and polymer products, and contributes to resource protection, minimizing the cost of product end-of-life disposal. The environmental compatibility of polymer materials should be evaluated based on the function of insulating materials in the product and throughout its service life, and material recycling at the end of the product's life is one of its important factors. The amount of material recycled in the recycling process can be increased by adopting appropriate product disassembly designs and making choices about commonly used insulating materials. This standard only covers material recycling in recycling.
