Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, testing methods, labels and user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of pepsinogen I/II assay kits.
This standard applies to pepsinogen I and pepsinogen II assay kits (hereinafter referred to as PG I/II kits), including immunoassay kits using enzyme labeling, chemiluminescence labeling, and other labeling methods.
This standard does not apply to semi-quantitative assays of PG I/II using colloidal gold labeling or other methods (such as test strips); and various radioimmunoassay or immunoradiometric kits labeled with radioactive isotopes such as 125I.
