Scope

Scope: This document specifies the prevention and control technologies for seed disinfection, planting management, and pest and disease control of Yutun melons. This document is applicable to the administrative area of Yutun Town and its surrounding areas for the reduction and control of pesticide application for melon pests and diseases. Main technical contents: 7. Biological control: Natural enemies such as ladybugs and turtle patterned ladybugs can be used to control aphids. A uniform spray of 0.5% neem oil emulsion at 600-800 times dilution can be used to control aphids. A uniform spray of 3% wettable powder of Zhongshengjun at 600-800 times dilution can be used to control bacterial angular leaf spot. 8. Physical control: 8.1 Install 60-mesh insect-proof nets at the entrances and ventilation openings of greenhouses to prevent the entry of pests such as whiteflies and aphids. 8.2 Hang yellow and blue boards to trap pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and thrips. 8.3 Cover with silver-grey film to repel pests such as aphids. 9. Chemical control: The selection and use of pesticides shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8321 and NY/T 1276. The types of pests and diseases, the selected pesticides, application periods, dosages, application methods, and maximum application times are shown in Table 1.
