Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for the design of the water supply system for shale gas fields, including water intake, water supply and transfer, instrumentation and automatic control, public utilities and supporting facilities, construction, acceptance, operation and maintenance, quality, health, safety, environmental protection (QHSE), and energy-saving and water-saving measures. This document is applicable to the design, construction, acceptance, and operation and maintenance management of ground works for water supply systems for hydraulic fracturing and fracturing flowback liquids in new, expanded, and renovated onshore shale gas fields.
