Scope
This document describes a method for determining the total organic nitrogen and any ammonia nitrogen content in photographic rinse wastewater using the Kjeldahl nitrogen method. This method can determine the total Kjeldahl nitrogen in photographic rinse wastewater with an ammonia concentration range of 10 mg/L to 200 mg/L, or a nitrogen concentration range of 8 mg/L to 160 mg/L. If the ammonia nitrogen is measured and subtracted separately (see ISO 6853), the concentration of organic amino nitrogen can be determined.
