Scope
This standard specifies the determination of the thermal resistance of low-density blanket insulation materials by selecting products with specific densities and thicknesses, measuring their density and thickness, determining their thermal conductivity using the protective hot plate method or the heat flux meter method, and using calculation and interpolation methods to determine the thermal resistance of low-density blanket insulation materials.
This standard applies to mineral wool blanket insulation materials with a density range of 6.4 kg/m3 to 48 kg/m3.
