Basic Information
Scope
Main Technical Content: 4. Site Selection and Planning 4.1 Site Selection The site should be located within 2 km of the park boundary, free from pollution sources, with good drainage, sufficient sunlight, a slope of ≤20°, convenient transportation, deep soil layers, loose and breathable soil, a pH value of 4.5–6.0, and sandy red or sandy loam soil rich in organic matter. Sites with sea or river beaches or clay-heavy soils are not suitable for construction. Environmental conditions of the production site shall comply with the NY/T 5010 standard. 4.2 Site Planning For orchards with an area of less than 4 hectares, a simple road system, planting blocks, irrigation and drainage systems, and water and soil conservation projects can be planned based on actual conditions. For orchards with an area of ≥4 hectares, windbreak forests, water source forests, road systems, irrigation and drainage systems, water and soil conservation projects, worker residential areas, warehouses, and post-harvest processing facilities should be planned. Large orchards should be divided into several blocks according to slope orientation, soil quality, and fertility consistency, with each block covering an area of 2–3 hectares. 5. Land Preparation 5.1 Tillage After clearing the site, mechanical tillage is performed, followed by two plows and two harrows to form ridges. The plowing depth should be at least 50 cm, and the ridge width should be about 135 cm. The soil is broken up and leveled to achieve deep, loose, and fine soil with minimal lime disinfection. For slopes of less than 5°, flat ridges are used for planting; for slopes of 5°–10°, contour terraces are used with ridge widths of 135–150 cm and trench widths of 50–70 cm; for slopes of 15°–20°, flat platforms are constructed. 5.2 Installation of Water and Fertilizer Facilities Water and fertilizer facilities are installed according to site planning and topography. A water storage tank is built, and sprinkler tapes and con
