Main Technical Content: 1. Scope: This document specifies the terminology and definitions of mugwort, cultivation techniques, field management, harvesting methods, and packaging and storage. Terminology and Definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Mugwort (Ai): Also known as Ai, a perennial herb of the Asteraceae family. 3.2 Ai Roots: Select robust Ai roots aged more than three years, with a diameter of 3 mm to 5 mm, cut into small sections of 3 cm to 7 cm in length. 3.3 Ai Seedlings: Separated from the mother plant at a stem base and grown to a height of 5 cm to 15 cm. 4. Cultivation Techniques 4.1 Site Selection: Select neutral soils with deep, moist, fertile layers, good permeability, and abundant organic matter, as well as sunny or sloping terrains with good irrigation and drainage conditions. The air quality must meet the second-level standards of GB 3095, the irrigation water quality must comply with GB 5084, and the soil quality must meet the second-level standards of GB 15618. 4.2 Tilling and Fertilization: Till the soil and mix fertilizer evenly into it, with a tilling depth of about 30 cm to loosen the soil, improve water retention, and partially remove weeds.
