Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, material requirements, disinfection operations, evaluation, and work records for the prevention and control of pine wood nematode using bagged fumigation and disinfection techniques. This document is applicable to the prevention and control of pine wood nematode in pines and pine wood products within the jurisdiction of Chaoshan City. Other regions can also refer to and implement it for pine wood nematode prevention and control. Main technical contents: 4.1 Disinfection agents: Commonly used disinfection agents include aluminum phosphide, methyl bromide, and sulfuryl fluoride. 4.2 Disinfection bags 4.2.1 It is recommended to select well-sealed, highly resilient, and non-easily breakable biodegradable disinfection bags. 4.2.2 The effective use period should be no less than 6 months. 4.2.3 The film thickness should be ≥ 0.08 mm. 4.2.4 Cylindrical bags with open ends at both ends, with a width of 100 cm to 150 cm and a packing length of 100 cm to 180 cm are suitable; rectangular bags with an opening on the top, with dimensions of 100 cm × 80 cm × 60 cm are suitable. 5.5 Adding disinfection agents: For cylindrical disinfection bags, tighten one side after ensuring sealing, and then add disinfection agents from the other side and quickly double-tie the bag opening. For rectangular disinfection bags, add disinfection agents from the top and quickly double-tie the sealing. The dosage of disinfection agents should comply with the requirements of GB/T 23477. 5.6.1 Disinfection temperature: The disinfection environment temperature should not be lower than 10℃. 5.6.2 Disinfection persistence: The persistence of disinfection agents should be no less than six months. Three months after bagged disinfection, check whether there are live vector insects. If there are live ones, disinfection should be carried out again.
