Basic Information
Scope
Main technical content: The following terms and definitions apply to this article. 3.1 Broccoli is a cruciferous plant of the Brassica genus, which is an annual or biennial herb. Its main root is thick at the base and has a well-developed root system, with most roots distributed within the 30-centimeter cultivated layer. The stem of the flower is smooth, and the cotyledons are inverted heart-shaped, while the true leaves are green and oval with a white powdery coating. The stem-borne leaves are usually smaller and green. The flowers are yellow, and the inflorescence stalk is fleshy. 3.2 High-selenium broccoli is obtained through selenium bio-nutrition enhancement technology, rather than adding selenium after harvest. It refers to broccoli rich in selenium with a selenium content exceeding 100mg/kg. 3.3 Selenium bio-nutrition enhancement technology involves applying selenium-containing conditioners (or fertilizers) to increase the selenium content in edible parts through natural growth. 4. The production environment should meet the requirements of NY/T 391. 5. Variety selection: Based on production conditions and selenium content requirements, high-yielding, disease-resistant, and selenium-accumulating varieties suitable for local cultivation should be selected. 6. Seedling cultivation 6.1 Seedbed preparation: Choose well-drained, elevated, and conveniently watered plots. After leveling and compacting the seedbed, lay a black plastic sheet. 6.2 Substrate preparation and configuration: Use peat and perlite as substrates. Add 50% wettable powder of multisporin (400g) to each 1m3 of substrate and sprinkle evenly. Then mix with water and cover with agricultural film for disinfection before use. 6.3 Seedling cultivation methods: Based on production scale and actual needs, choose tray seedling or nutrient pot seedling. 6.4 Seedling management: Water daily once to twice during the 1-leaf to 3-leaf stage, and water once in the morning and once in the even
