Scope

This part of GB/T 26515 provides general guidelines for determining the gas chromatogram of essential oils using capillary column gas chromatography.
The gas chromatogram, like physical and chemical properties, is one of the parameters for evaluating the quality of essential oils. It is determined when establishing essential oil standards.
The gas chromatogram does not measure the actual concentration of essential oil components, but merely assesses the relative proportion of the components.
Note: The utilization of the gas chromatogram of essential oil samples also refers to GB/T 26515.2—2011.
