Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage, and shelf life of the processing technology for fresh seeds of Camellia oleifera. This document applies to the production of Camellia oleifera fresh seed oil. 2. Terms and Definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Fresh Seeds of Camellia oleifera: Seeds extracted directly from Camellia oleifera fruits after harvest. 4. Technical Requirements: 4.1 Process Flow: Complete pretreatment, oil extraction, and purification within 3–5 hours after fruit harvest. The process flow is shown in Figure 1. T/TSSP 046–2023 Figure 1: Process Flow for Extracting Oil from Fresh Seeds of Camellia oleifera 4.2 Mechanical Shell Removal: Remove the shell of Camellia oleifera fruits using a shell removal device and separate the seeds from the shell through multiple sieving steps, ensuring a shell-containing seed rate of less than 1%.
