Scope

1.0.1 In order to ensure that the design of top-contact charging stations for electric vehicles complies with relevant national policies and guidelines, unifies technical requirements, and achieves safety, reliability, technological advancement, and economic rationality, this standard is formulated. 1.0.2 This document applies to the design of charging stations for electric vehicles using top-contact charging mode, where the top-contact charging equipment in the station adopts the connection method D specified in GB/T 40425.1-2021, "Top-Contact Charging System for Electric Buses - Part 1: General Requirements". 1.0.3 The design of top-contact charging stations for electric vehicles shall comply with the following basic principles: 1. Implement national laws and regulations and meet the requirements of regional national economic and social development planning; 2. Coordinate with the overall regional planning and urban planning in the area; 3. Meet the requirements of fire safety, electrical safety, and environmental protection; 4. Actively and prudently adopt new technologies, new equipment, and new materials to promote technological innovation. 1.0.4 In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, the design of top-contact charging stations for electric vehicles shall also comply with the provisions of relevant national standards currently in force.
