Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grade designation methods, order content, dimensions, shape, weight, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for coil wire used in lead-free bath quenching steel wire. This standard applies to hot-rolled coil wire used in the wire-drawing process without intermediate heat treatment or final heat treatment, namely, hot-rolled coil wire for lead-free bath quenching steel wire (hereinafter referred to as coil wire).
