Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the molecular weight and distribution of film-forming resins used in digital printing materials by gel permeation chromatography.
This standard is applicable to film-forming resins prepared by reacting phenol, cresol, bisphenol, or two or three of these phenols with formaldehyde. The applicable average weight-average molecular weight range is 2,000~40,000, the data molecular weight is 500~5,000, and the distribution coefficient is 4.0~8.0.
