Scope

This standard specifies the basic safety requirements that should be considered from the perspective of risk assessment when formulating standards for low-voltage electrical equipment and products (hereinafter referred to as "products"), including environmental conditions, rated values, electrical safety, mechanical safety, protective grounding, operational safety, electromagnetic compatibility, functional safety, and information security.
This standard is applicable to guiding the preparation of product standards in a systematic manner, taking into account the comprehensive impact of risk factors on products, so that the safety requirements contained in product standards can be more systematic and comprehensive.
The voltage range of the products referred to in this standard is AC 1,000 V and below, and DC 1,500 V and below.
