Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, usage conditions, technical requirements, testing and marking for AC coupling capacitors and capacitor dividers. This document applies to AC single-phase coupling capacitors with a rated AC voltage of more than 1000 V, connected between the line and ground, with the low-voltage terminal permanently grounded or connected to power line carrier (PLC) accessories, harmonic filter tuning devices, and AC single-phase capacitor dividers used in the manufacture of voltage transformers, as well as other similar applications. Note 1: The requirements for carrier accessories used in power line carrier (PLC) systems refer to GB/T 19749.2, the requirements for tuning units refer to GB/T 19749.3, and the requirements for AC single-phase capacitor dividers used in the manufacture of voltage transformers refer to GB/T 19749.4. Note 2: The requirements for large-capacity frame-type AC PLC capacitors refer to GB/T 31954.
