LY/T 1970-2011 Organic media for greening use
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, labeling, and packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for organic substrates used in landscaping.
This standard applies to organic substrates used in landscaping, which are mainly made from plant-based materials such as bark, fallen leaves, crushed branches, sawdust, wheat bran, rice husks, corn cobs, peanut shells, walnut shells, coconut husks, crop straw, wood chips, and reed powder, as well as urban and rural organic waste such as food factory by-products (bagasse, vinasse, vinegar dregs, etc.) and traditional Chinese medicine residues. These substrates are made by adding other auxiliary materials and undergoing harmless treatment such as composting and fermentation, and then being crushed and mixed for use in landscaping. Their main purposes are to improve landscaping soils and partially or fully replace peat or natural soils for planting green plants.
