DB44/T 1096-2012 The periodic inspection specifications for steel spherical storage tanks
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic conditions, preparation before inspection, and evaluation of inspection results for regular inspections of spherical storage tanks made of carbon steel and low-alloy steel. Note 1: The following spherical tanks refer to spherical storage tanks made of carbon steel and low-alloy steel. This standard applies to spherical tanks with a design pressure of greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa and less than or equal to 4 MPa, which are of the segmented or hybrid type and supported by pillars and fall within the scope of pressure vessels. The design temperature range applicable to this standard is determined based on the allowable operating temperature of the steel. This standard does not apply to the following spherical tanks: a) Spherical tanks subject to nuclear radiation; b) Spherical tanks subject to relative motion (such as those carried by vehicles or ships); c) Spherical tanks with a nominal volume of less than 50 m3; d) Spherical tanks requiring fatigue analysis; e) Spherical tanks with a double-shell structure;
