1.1 This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage of tungsten-thorium alloy wires. 1.2 This standard applies to tungsten-thorium alloy wires (hereinafter referred to as "the product") manufactured by powder metallurgy for use in electrical vacuum devices, electric light sources, and other applications.
