Scope

This standard specifies the classification, ordering information, performance requirements, other requirements, inspection and sampling, appearance and surface defect treatment, marking and certification of marine-grade thermoset resin fiberglass pipes and accessories (hereinafter referred to as fiberglass pipes and accessories).
This standard applies to fiberglass pipes and accessories with a nominal size not exceeding DN1200 (NPS48).
This standard uses the International System of Units (SI).
The dimensionless symbols DN and NPS replace traditional terms such as "nominal diameter", "size", and "nominal size".
