GB/T 42349-2023 Determination of antiviral activity of photocatalytic materials—Test method using bacteriophage Q-beta
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a test method for determining the antiviral activity of materials containing photocatalysts or materials coated with photocatalysts or photocatalytic materials on their surfaces. This method determines the antiviral activity by counting the reduction of Q-β phages after UV irradiation.
Note: This test method uses Q-β phages as a substitute for influenza viruses.
This document is applicable to various types of semiconductor photocatalytic materials used in building materials, with basic forms including sheet-like, block-like, or plate-like, but excluding powders, granules, or porous photocatalytic materials.
This document is applicable to the detection of photocatalytic materials with antiviral properties, but not to the detection of antibacterial, antifungal, water pollutant degradation, self-cleaning, anti-fogging, and air purification properties.
The quantitative values in this document are expressed in units of the International System of Units (SI).
