GB/T 26645.1-2011 Determination of particle size distribution by gravitational liquid sedimentation methods—Part 1:General principles and guidelines
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 26645 specifies a method for analyzing the particle size distribution of particulate materials using the liquid gravity sedimentation method, with a typical particle size measurement range of 0.5μm to 100μm.
This part is applicable to the measurement of the particle size distribution of slurries or particulate materials that can be dispersed in liquids. Under normal circumstances, the density difference between the dispersed phase and the continuous phase is positive, but it can also be used to measure the particle size distribution of emulsion droplets with a lower density than the dispersed phase. The particles should not undergo physical or chemical changes in the suspension. For hazardous materials, basic protective measures are required, especially when using low-boiling point volatile liquids as the continuous phase, the analyst should first conduct an explosion-proof test.
