Scope

This document describes the test method for the critical current of short and straight Bi-2223 oxide superconductors at room temperature after double bending. The samples are single-core or multi-core silver and/or silver-clad superconducting wires with a flat or square structure. The superconducting wires can be encapsulated with copper alloy, stainless steel, or nickel alloy strips.
This document is applicable to superconductors with a critical current of less than 300 A and an n-value greater than 5. The test for the critical current after double bending at room temperature is conducted without an external magnetic field, and the samples are immersed in open liquid nitrogen.
