Scope

This standard specifies the sources of measurement uncertainty, the steps for assessing measurement uncertainty, and the reporting methods used by enzymatic reference laboratories when operating reference methods.
This standard is applicable to enzymatic reference laboratories assessing the measurement uncertainty of enzymatic catalytic activity concentrations measured by reference methods, and also to the assessment of measurement uncertainty for other reference methods that use the principle of spectrophotometry to measure quantities. It can also be used by accreditation reviewers during the review process.
