Scope

Scope: This document specifies the hygiene requirements, disinfection techniques, disinfection methods, disinfection regulations, and disinfection effect monitoring for large-scale dairy farms in Ningxia. This document applies to hygiene and disinfection in large-scale dairy farms in Ningxia. Main Technical Content: 3. Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Disinfection The process of removing or killing pathogenic microorganisms on transmission media to achieve their harmlessness. 3.2 Disinfectant A preparation that can kill microorganisms on transmission media and meet disinfection requirements. 4. Hygiene Requirements The hygiene requirements for dairy farms shall comply with GB/T 16568. 5. Disinfection Technical Requirements 5.1 Selection of Disinfectants Disinfectants should be selected from those approved by the state, which are harmless to humans, dairy cows, and the environment, do not accumulate harmful substances in cows' bodies, have no residual toxicity, and do not damage dairy farm equipment. Available disinfectants include: alcohol, peracetic acid, glutaraldehyde, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, benzalkonium chloride, bleaching powder, sodium hydroxide solution, iodine tincture, potassium persulfate solution, and copper sulfate solution. 5.2 Preparation of Disinfectants Prepare disinfectants according to the instructions. The water temperature for disinfectant preparation should be consistent with the temperature in the shed, and the water quality should meet the requirements of NY 5027. Disinfectants should be alternately used and prepared fresh when needed. The types, usage concentrations, application methods, and disinfection objects of common disinfectants are listed in Appendix A. 5.3 Personal Protection All personnel entering the dairy farm should wear work clothes or protective clothing, masks, goggles, rubber gloves, and rubber boots.
