Scope
Scope: This document specifies the selection of suitable growing environments, variety selection, seedling cultivation, planting, field management, pest and disease control, and harvesting for efficient cultivation of figs (Ficus carica Linn.). This document applies to the efficient cultivation of figs; Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: There are no terms or definitions requiring definition in this document. 2. Selection of growing environments: The growing environment can be selected in areas with an altitude of 900 m to 2,200 m, an annual average temperature of 15℃ to 22℃, and an annual rainfall of 600 mm to 1,000 mm. The site should be sheltered from the wind, sunny, with convenient irrigation and drainage, and have a deep soil layer with a texture of sandy loam or light clay, with a pH value of 6.5 to 8.0. It is not recommended to plant figs in areas where stone fruit trees and mulberry crops are grown in succession. The water quality should meet the requirements of GB 5084, the soil environment should meet the requirements of GB 15618, and the growing environment should meet the requirements of NY/T 391. 3. Variety selection: It is recommended to select varieties with strong resistance to adverse conditions, high quality, good storage and transportation performance, and that meet market demand. The recommended varieties are listed in Appendix A. 4. Seedling cultivation 4.1 Nursery site selection: A flat, sheltered from the wind, sunny, and conveniently accessible plot with good irrigation and drainage. 4.2 Seedling preparation 4.2.1 Seedling containers: 15 cm × 20 cm black nutrient bags. 4.2.2 Cuttings: Cuttings should be taken from healthy, leaf-bearing, and disease-free stems with a diameter of 1 cm to 1.5 cm during the leaf-fall period. The cuttings should be bundled and stored horizontally in a shaded area for sand storage. 4.3 Cutting: Remove the cuttings from the sand storage in late February to early March, cut them
