Scope

This standard specifies the principles and basic requirements for the collection of wild plant germplasm resources in extremely small populations, the principles and methods for the preservation of germplasm resources, the selection of core germplasm resources, the evaluation of the effectiveness of germplasm resource preservation, and the construction of a germplasm resource information management system.
This standard applies to all types of extremely small population wild plants in China. The protection work of other rare and endangered plants can be carried out with reference to this standard.
