This document applies to the harvesting of Chinese pumpkins, Indian pumpkins, and American pumpkins grown within Yunnan Province. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: - Lignification: The hardening and strengthening of the cell wall due to the deposition of polymers composed of derivatives of phenylpropane, a lignin produced by cells, which increases the plant's ability to support gravity. - Pectin: An acidic polysaccharide in plants, an important component of the cell wall. - Field heat: The heat brought into the storage room by vegetables, flowers, and fruits from the field. - Tender melon: The melon that is slightly swollen after 7-12 days after the female flower withers, with a crispy skin and flesh, and inherent characteristics of the variety in terms of skin color and fruit shape. - Old ripe melon: The melon that has swollen and formed, with the surface (stem, skin color, wax powder, ridges, and wrinkles) exhibiting the inherent characteristics of the variety after ripening. - Fibrosis: A filamentous or fluffy substance formed by the combination of cellulose and various nutrients, which provides support, connection, wrapping, and filling functions for plants. 2.
