Scope

Scope: This document specifies the yield indicators, pre-sowing preparation, film-covered sowing, field management, harvesting and storage, and residual film cleaning for potato cultivation with double-color plastic film covering technology. This document is applicable to potato production with double-color plastic film covering in arid regions. Main technical content: 5.3 **Film selection**: Select a double-color film with black-white-black stripes, each 30.00 cm wide and a total width of 90.00 cm, with a film thickness of 0.01 mm and a film quality that meets GB 13735. 5.4 **Variety selection**: Use high-yielding, disease-resistant, and high-quality potato main varieties, and the seed potatoes must meet the quality requirements of GB 18133. 5.5 **Seed potato processing**: 5.5.1 **Sprouting and sowing**: About 15 days before sowing, sun-dry and sprout the seed potatoes, and remove diseased or rotten tubers. 5.5.2 **Whole tuber or cut tuber sowing**: For whole tuber sowing, select strong and healthy tubers weighing 25.00 g to 50.00 g each. Cut the seed potatoes into pieces weighing 35.00 g to 40.00 g each, with 1 to 2 bud eyes per piece. Disinfect the cutting tools with a 5% potassium permanganate solution or 75% alcohol immediately after use or when cutting into diseased or rotten tubers. After cutting, treat the seed potatoes with a potato-specific biological seed dressing agent and let them dry. 5.6 **Base fertilizer types**: 5.6.1 **Organic fertilizer**: Select commercial organic fertilizers that meet the requirements of NY/T 525, or fully decomposed farmyard manure. 5.6.2 **Formula fertilizer**: Select potato formula fertilizer (N-P2O5-K2O=16-14-10), which meets the requirements of NY/T 1112.
