GB/T 38609-2020 Deep-fat fryers for household use—Methods for measuring the performance

Scope

This standard applies to household electric deep fryers with an oil or fat capacity not exceeding 4.0 L.
The purpose of this standard is to describe and define the main performance characteristics of deep fryers that users are interested in, describe the test methods for measuring these characteristics, and provide certain criteria for evaluating the test results.
Considering the low accuracy and low reproducibility caused by factors such as time, test materials, components, and the subjective judgment of the test personnel, the said test methods are more practically applicable to comparative tests of several appliances conducted in the same laboratory by the same testers using the same tools within approximately the same timeframe, rather than testing a single appliance in different laboratories.
