GB/T 38611-2020 Office furniture—Office work chairs—Test methods for the determination of stability, strength and durability
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for the stability, strength, and durability of office work chairs. It provides guidance on test force values and cycle counts, etc. The test methods are designed for products that have been fully assembled and are ready for use. The dimensions in the test methods are only applicable to office work chairs intended for adults. The test methods include forces applied to various components, simulating various usage states of office work chairs during normal use and foreseeable misuse. The test methods are used to evaluate the performance of office work chairs, without considering product materials, structural design, or production processes. The test results are only valid for the tested samples. When the test results need to be used for other similar products, it is very important that the test samples can represent a certain production model. The tests conducted in accordance with this standard are designed to enable products to provide satisfactory performance in the intended usage environment. This test method is based on tests on unused products or components. If the test method is proven to be reasonable and effective, it can also be applied to the investigation of product defects. The design data for the seat loading pad is provided in Appendix B, and the design data for the stability loading pad is provided in Appendix C. This standard does not include requirements for products. Requirements can be specified in separate normative documents. If there are no normative documents, the force values and cycle counts are referenced in Appendix A (informative). These loads and cycle counts apply to any adult, regardless of their body weight or the length of time they have used the product. This standard does not specify acceptance test methods for individual components of office work chairs. This standard does not include tests for performance aging and degradation. The test methods do not evaluate the durability of soft componen
