Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, pre-rearing preparations, selection of chicks, rearing management, and disease prevention and control for lion-headed goose chicks. This document applies to the rearing and management of lion-headed goose chicks during the rearing period. Main technical contents: 7.3 Feeding frequency and feeding amount: Feeding during the rearing period should be timed and quantified. The size of green fodder or the particle size of supplementary feed should be suitable for the chicks' mouth size and easy to consume. Feeding standards should be in accordance with Table 1. During the winter heating process, ensure the stability of the power supply to prevent sudden drops in temperature caused by power outages, which may lead to crowding, trampling, and freezing of chicks. The temperature and relative humidity of the rearing room should meet the requirements specified in Table 2.
