Scope
This standard specifies the symbols and explanations, principles, test equipment, optical measurement system, samples, test procedures, evaluation methods of vertex curvature deformation and strain for the billet forming test of thin sheets and strips of metal materials. It also describes the calculation of the biaxial stress-strain curve and the test report.
This standard is applicable to metal thin sheets and strips with a thickness of less than 3 mm, which are used to determine their biaxial stress-strain curves during pure billet forming processes.
Note: The term "biaxial stress-strain curve" in this standard is an abbreviation. What is measured in the test is the "biaxial true stress-true strain curve".
