Scope

This part of GB/T 34315 specifies the design, performance, and marking characteristics of Type II inflatable life rafts, and provides test methods: -- with a carrying capacity of 4 to 10 people; -- suitable for small rafts with a length of not more than 24 m; -- suitable for being thrown overboard from a ship with a height of not more than 4 m; -- designed to navigate in, but not limited to, areas with moderate conditions that can be encountered, such as coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes, and rivers; -- with a certain degree of self-supporting capability. Type I life rafts are specified in ISO 96501.
