Scope

This part of GB/Z 22559 proposes a method for determining the thermal load capacity of gears, including the measurement of gear devices under actual working conditions. The methods include measuring power loss, measuring heat dissipation, or measuring both, or determining the quasi-steady temperature of the oil pool in a gearbox lubricated with oil spray.
All the calculation methods for power loss and heat dissipation described in this part of GB/Z 22559 are considered as an optional method.
