Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, instruction manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of household split-type solar hot water systems. This standard applies to split-type hot water systems (hereinafter referred to as "solar hot water systems") that use flat-plate solar collectors to absorb solar radiation and heat cold water, with a storage tank capacity of no more than 600L, for use in households or similar applications (not for drinking water purposes).
