Scope
This document specifies the general requirements for on-orbit field calibration of spaceborne laser altimeters, the acquisition of calibration data, technical processes and calculation methods, and the analysis of calibration uncertainties. This document is applicable to the on-orbit field calibration of system errors such as ranging and laser pointing angle of spaceborne laser altimeters. The calibration of other similar spaceborne laser payloads can be used for reference.
