This specification applies to the calibration of blood viscometers (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") used to measure the dynamic viscosity of whole blood and plasma under constant shear rate conditions, with a measurement range of shear rate 1 s-1 to 200 s-1 and shear stress 10 mPa to 1,000 mPa.
