Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for the control and protection system of static synchronous series compensators (referred to as the control and protection system), including requirements for the control system, protection system, monitoring system, communication and interface, and testing. This document is applicable to the control and protection systems of static synchronous series compensators in power grids with voltages of 220 kV and above. For other voltage levels, the requirements can be implemented as a reference.
