Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the migration of acrylamide in household paper products in artificial sweat using liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS). This standard is applicable to the detection of acrylamide migration in household paper products such as tissue paper (facial tissues, napkins, handkerchiefs, etc.), wet wipes (wet wipes, baby wipes), toilet paper, sanitary napkins, and diapers. Among these products, the detection of acrylamide migration is only applicable to the outer coating layer that comes into contact with the skin in sanitary napkins and diapers.
