Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles and method overview, samples, sample conditioning, equipment, test steps, test results, and test reports for determining the heat-sealing and heat-bonding properties of thermoplastic plastics and their composites. This standard is applicable to flexible thermoplastic plastics and their composites, and is used to test their heat-bonding performance under different heat-sealing conditions during a specific time interval after the heat-sealing process ends but before the heat-sealed portion has cooled to ambient temperature.
