Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the monitoring, operation, inspection, maintenance, abnormal and fault handling of the main valves of hydraulic turbines, as well as the maintenance intervals and decommissioning times, process and quality requirements, and maintenance tests. This document is applicable to hydraulic turbine inlet spherical valves with a nominal diameter of 500 mm to 5000 mm and hydraulic turbine inlet butterfly valves with a nominal diameter of 1000 mm to 10,000 mm, as well as the hydraulic devices and ancillary equipment used with them.
