Scope

This document describes the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for determining protein anabolic hormones in feed. This document is applicable to compound feed, concentrated feed, supplementary feed, premixed feed additives, and mixed feed additives for the determination of testosterone, methyltestosterone, boldenone, methandienone, androsterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, nandrolone, nandrolone propionate, stanozolol, medroxyprogesterone acetate, and progesterone. The detection limits for methyltestosterone, stanozolol, and medroxyprogesterone acetate in this document are 0.005 mg/kg, and the detection limits for testosterone, boldenone, methandienone, androsterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, nandrolone, nandrolone propionate, and progesterone are 0.02 mg/kg. The quantification limits for methyltestosterone, stanozolol, and medroxyprogesterone acetate in this document are 0.01 mg/kg, and the quantification limits for testosterone, boldenone, methandienone, androsterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, nandrolone, nandrolone propionate, and progesterone are 0.05 mg/kg.
