Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, statistical methods, calculation methods, and energy consumption limits for ethylene unit products. This standard applies to the calculation, evaluation, and control of the comprehensive energy consumption of ethylene plants that are produced by cracking and separating oil (light oil, diesel, heavy oil, naphtha, condensate, crude oil) and gas (ethane, propane refinery gas). This standard does not apply to ethylene produced by alcohol dehydration, nor does it include ethylene fractions directly from unseparated cracked gases or other gases.
